HELP THE DINOSAURS!
No experience necessary! In fact, our training is part of our volunteers’ unique experience. But, why do we need volunteers? Like all museums, volunteers form the core of our workforce and provide our visitors with the best experiences. If you’re interested in starting, call 435-574-3466 x1 and ask for the Volunteer Coordinator today. Then, we’ll get you set up with a time to begin training. WHAT DO VOLUNTEERS DO?
DISCOVERY SITE GREETERS
These volunteers welcome the public to our museum while providing handouts and information. Additionally, they help orient visitors to the museum’s spaces and monitor the front doors.
DISCOVERY SITE GUIDES (DOCENTS)
These volunteers provide tours of the facility to the general public and school groups. As a rule, guides require a bit more training, but that’s part of the fun! Plus, you’ll get to learn about the geology and paleontology of the area and beyond.
FOSSIL PREP LAB VOLUNTEERS
These volunteers help handle and clean fossils. Please contact our curator, Andrew Milner at 435-574-3466×2 for more information on availability and projects.
