While the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site was originally on a farm known as the Johnson Farm, the entire site and its fossils are now housed inside a fully indoor, climate-controlled museum. Step into an Early Jurassic ecosystem filled with real dinosaur footprints, plant impressions, fish fossils, and more.

WHAT YOU’LL SEE
Exhibits & Fossils
Your journey through the museum begins with our cast of characters, featuring the types of fossil tracks and traces preserved here, with discussions of who likely left them millions of years ago.
Highlights include:
- Eubrontes tracks–large footprints attributed to dinosaurs similar to Dilophosaurus
- Grallator tracks–small theropod tracks attributed to Megapnosaurus-like dinosaurs
- 17 distinct types of trace fossils to discover through out the exhibits
Then, explore our early jurassic world through sedimentary structures that reveal what the region looked like 200 million years ago—a shallow lake with no mountains in sight.
The Tracksite Boardwalk

GROUPS & SCHOOL TOURS
Go deeper into prehistoric southern Utah with a guided educational tour. These programs bring science to life with hands-on learning and age-appropriate activities.
