The quote from Tennyson’s poem has come to refer to the survival of the fittest and this exhibit focuses on some of the unique features of teeth and claws throughout history. From the tusks of the saber-tooth tiger to those of a modern elephant, marvelous adaptations of teeth have been rampant through evolution. Similarly, claws range from the 3’ long daggers of the Therizinosaurus to those of your friendly house cat. With lots of display items and information, this will be a fun new display that shouldn’t be missed. The Grand Opening was free to the public and refreshments were served right after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.  This is also a great time to see all of the new improvements at the museum with the preparation lab renovations completed and the changes in lighting, funded in part by a grant from the Utah Arts and Museums, with funding from the State of Utah. This was held as part of the Dino Days in Dixie annual celebration. During the Dino Days in Dixie celebration, there were free handouts, coloring pages, mazes, and crossword puzzles.
